Astonishing! Simply amazing!
Sir, I’m a specialist of kinesiology and sports physiology with 7 fields of related study completed. Its truly a remarkable thing when I meet someone else like me; someone who at least seems to know the science of exercise!

Its very true that due to the all-or-nothing reaction of muscular energetics, you cannot isolate one “part” of a muscle from any other part of that same muscle - hence, no upper and lower abs. Personally, I would have to say its not even worth trying to “emphasize” one or the other. A few questions (damn this 500 character limit)…

19|Aug|2007 13First, do you know …
First, do you know of the pre-stretch crunch that was developed by Dr Hatfeild? Second, in your videos, did you remember to mention that ab training should be cycled? The best ab training is squats, deadlifts, and overhead presses. When those lifts become stagnant or platue, you cycle (or “periodize”) off those moves and spend time on supporting moves (such as ab work).

The fat wont get burned from weight training, you need to do things like running, swimming and cycling. Cardiovasculer training, you use all the glucose in your blood as you go and then your body will start to burn the fat to make you keep going.
