The Truth about Diet and Weight Loss
I want to talk tonight about weight loss. It’s a subject everyone is worried about. And the problem is that diets don’t work. Everybody has tried a diet. I haven’t met a person yet that’s hasn’t tried something, from kids to people in their eighties; everybody has tried some kind of diet and they just don’t work. In recent studies when they looked at a lot of their major diets (some good one’s, Atkins, The Zone), they put them all together statistically and found a ten pound weight loss on average. Now, these people lost a hundred pounds and gained it back of course. But, all that work, all that money, all those videos, for ten pounds of weight loss?
So the truth is, we have to find a life style that will allow you to stay at a weight that is healthy for you. That’s a much different way of thinking than all this crash dieting that goes on. What you have to learn is how to take care of yourself; you have to learn the appropriate foods; you have to make better choices. That’s the only way it’s going to work.

Thanks so much. I have tried dieting but it’s hard for me to limit my food. I am a retired vet whose military injuries causes me alot of nausea-nuc and chemical poisoning, constant violent nightmares which leave me tired, vertigo and minears disease.

My doctor tried to get me off milk because I drink almost 3 quarts a day, as this helps best to calm my stomach. However, I feel very blessed because of so many things.
Your videos are the best and most honest I have seen.
Thank you so much,

I heard that people who drink milk are thinner. So I started having at least 2 cups of milk every morning with my coffee. I’ve lost about 20 pounds in the last 18 mos without any other changes to speak of. I guess the that much milk means I have been getting breakfast as well. I still have to work on sleep and excercise and the other advise.

he is right! I have an uncle, a chiropractor and nutritionist in SoCal. I am sure he would say the same. Look, diets suck. Real simple equation. Eat as much as you want. Understand this. If you don’t burn it off, you get fat, burn it off, and you can lose weight while eating like a pig. Your metabolism is under your control if you try to control it and understand it. most do not even think about trying.

Before anyone calls BS on me on that last statement I made. Understand this, I gained over 70 pounds in less than 6 months under forced psychiatric medication and lock down. One year after going off meds and living on a farm doing hard work on a foster home every day, I had lost all that weight, plus some extra, permanently. Tons of exercise will make you sleep like a baby, solving another aspect of the internal metabolic balance equation.

I agree with what was said. We should hold ourself responsible for overweight.
My observation is that the skiny people walk faster, work more effectively, and even talk faster

I think it’s all about finding a fun exercise… I just think many parents don’t even give their kids the option. Also, I think we should be concered (even placing blame)on food companies b/c the foods that are available to us now are much less healthy than they could be due to genetic alterting and other methods to make them cheaper… also corn syrup is in all of our drinks… there is no need for that bs!

Corn syrup is in in most store bought bread . It is even in the whole wheat bread! Why do they do that. We should ban (or not buy) it!

Yeah!! but it’s everywhere in everything! …it is used to drive up the economy’s price for bread I believe… but everyone’s health is what is suffering… I’d rather pay more money for bread than have corn syrup ruining all my drinks…. I can’t believe more people don’t care about that!

More people are in the poverty line therefore they can’t pay $5 for really good bread instead they will go for $2 or the $1 bread just to have enough for other foods. We can’t live on bread only. Need other stuff too.

23|Oct|2007 17For exercise, for …
For exercise, for those who are college or university students, walk to class to class, don’t drive or take the bus. That is why so many college/university students are so fat. You guys drive too much, walk class to class and you’ll lose the weight. Believe me I was once a size 16 and now I’m a size 8 (back to my 9th grade pants size)and still losing more; hopefully, with time, I’ll get into my 12th grade pants size which was size 4 (lost that much due to tremendous exercise routine back then).

I can control my genes? Really? I can change my eye and hair color? I can tell it to not give me Alzheimer even though that shit have been in the family since like forever? I could understand that genes don’t have that much power over weight, but at times for other stuff it’s inevitable and at times do need strong medication for, in which for the most part a lot of people can’t afford. Also, back to the weight, what about those with thyroid gland problems? Such as Hypothyroidism?

Bull. I eat ezekiel bread which is pretty darn healthy and it’s only $2.50. I see more people spend on junk food in a day than I spend on health food in a week. Cheap and healthy food IS avaialbe if you look hard enough. Fruits and vegetables aren’t expensive either.
