The process to get rid of the extra pounds was going to have to include some type of diet and some type of physical activity. It didn’t seem to be hard. The truth is that it is not an easy process. Our life is full of obstacles that stand in the way of living a healthy life. It takes a tremendous effort not to fall victim to these temptations. I wondered if I would have to get up early every morning to prepare a special diet for the day and still have time to do a bunch of six pack ab exercises in order for me to get a healthy body that I desired, or if there was an easier way to accomplish my goals.
I decided that I would put forth the effort. My life was not going the way I wanted and much of it was because I was overweight. being known as obese was not fun anymore and I was determined to fix it. Even if it was going to be hard work, it was also going to be worth it. So I started planning. I didn’t like the idea of a diet that had me only eating certain types of foods so I opted for a balanced diet. I would get results by baking and broiling my food and by putting less food on my plate at mealtime. I did not include foods that were full of grease on my diet. I also decided to stop dinking as much. I opted to cook my meals myself instead of eating out a few times a week. I committed myself to eating right. Besides changing my diet, I changed my exercise routine. I had to figure out when to work out but I knew I could. I set some goals for me to reach and was determined not to quit until I reached the goals.
My hard work was worth it. My waistline was getting noticeably smaller and I was able to fit into my clothes easier. My new diet and exercise regimen wasn’t as tough to follow as I thought it would be. I didn’t miss the bad habits that I used to because I had replaced them with good habits. Instead of starting a diet that would get rid of some weight for a short time, I was doing things that got rid of the weight and were keeping it off. I discovered the secret to successfully losing weight. It was to just get off the ride and live a better lifestyle.
